Fairy Cottage (12” by 22”)
We are so proud to welcome back the talented Rhianydd Webb to our Studio. We know this is the class you have all been waiting for and can’t wait to get stuck in. This piece of excellent work will be constructed out of cake and not RKT.
We know this class will soon fill up so please do not delay in booking. At the Studio we believe our students are important so only run small intimate classes ensuring everyone gets expert individual tuition. Only 8 spaces will be available.
Rhianydd is the owner of Dragons and Daffodils Cakes which she set up in 1999. She has six gold medals from Cake International for her Modelling, Sugar Flowers, Wedding Cakes and Sculptures as well as Gold and Silver at Salon Culinare which she is thrilled to hold best in class at both shows. She was runner-up and celebration cake maker at the Baking Industry Awards and holds the NIACE tutor award for her area. In 2018 she was named UK top 10 by Cake Masters Magazine.

This is a full day class starting at 09.30 and finishing around 18.00. We ask that you do not arrive more than 10 minutes early, and bring a light lunch.
Date: Sunday 12th May 2019
Everyone in the class will be provided with a full set of equipment to use on the day and materials, so you will not need to bring anything with you except a packed lunch, a container (12” by 22” minimum) to take home your finished piece home in and an apron.
What you will learn:
- working with an armature
- stacking and carving cake
- How to ganache and then ice
- Work with multiple mediums to create a range of textures to add that special finishing touch
- Dust and paint on colour to complete
The finished results will vary per person as Rhianydd prefers to allow the individual characters to come through and although she will assist the students, both Lynda and Rhianydd prefer the results to be your own work rather than overly corrected by the tutor. They both feel this means you go home with more experience, plus the photo hand-outs as a visual reminder.
What you need to bring:
A packed lunch Please note that during the day you will be able to purchase goods from our retail shop and take advantage of students’ discount and at the end of the lesson Rhianydd will be selling Cerart Tools. We offer a payment plan if this is of interest please email for information
