CAS Level 1 Beginners Sugarpaste

CAS is our new Cake Decorating Certificate designed especially for the beginner. Due to the interest we have recieved off students wanting to learn the foundations of cake decorating but without the expensive formal qualification, our Head of School, Senior lecturer, International Judge and Cake Artist Lynda Gilbey, winning best college consequeatively 2 years running at CI, has written 4 modules covering all areas associated within the world of cake decorating and Sugarcraft. You can be sure to receive excellent tuiton of the highest standard. Lynda has been a senior tutor within the college network for over 25 years, teaching accredited qualifications including City and Guilds ,UCLI, CENTRA and ABCAWARDS.  Her knowledge and highly qualified background has enabled her to write tutorials for leading Cake Decorating and Sugarcraft magazines opening up her expertises to many more than the numerous students who have had the privilage to be taught by her over the paste 30 years. This is the first of the 4 modules which we are offering at a very competative price.

Course Location:

This course is held in our new modern teaching facility “The Studio”. Free Car parking is available very nearby. “The Studio” is situated within yards of the local Bus Station and Taxi Rank, with only a 5 minute walk to the Train Station.

Course Times:

This is a 8 week course (21 hours), consisting of 2.5 hours per class plus presentation evening . Week 9 is an optional extra where will be discussing 'setting up your own Cake Decorating Business from home' for an additional fee of £25. Class will start at 6.00pm and finishes at 8.30pm. You will recieve additional theory worksheets via email and will be presented with our unique Certificate on completition. Students will be encouraged to practise at home to acheive final grades in pass, credit or Distiction level.

What you need to bring / equipment:

To keep costs to a minmum no materials will be provided. The use of some basic equipment will be available to use during lesson but you will be expected to use a lot of your own. A full schedule and list of requirement will be forwarded on enrolment. You will need an apron, plus items listed within the schedule. Free liquid refreshments are available during the class.
