Royal Icing has made a huge revival, and why not when it is such a beautiful art form?

Royal Icing cookies is a must have skill when it comes to creating personalised gifts, wedding cake tables, Baby showers - the list is endless. We've created this class to show you how to create your own set of beautiful royal iced cookies, especially with Valentine's Day in mind.

- How to achieve the right consistencies for piping

- How to successfully flood your cookies and adding detail.

- How to outline your cookies

- Piping lines, dots, hearts, flowers, roses, leaves and letters.

- Wet on wet techniques

- The use of moulds and piped royal iced basic flowers

- Brush embroidery

You'll be working on cookies that we've already baked for you. During the day you'll decorate up to 8 biscuits depending on your own pace. Lynda will be showing you how to glaze your finish cookie and the vintage crack effect (please note due to these techniques required previously set icing this part of the class will be demonstration only). This class is open to students from 14+ years of age

Course Location:

This course is held in our new teaching facility “The Studio”. Free Car parking is available very nearby. “The Studio” is situated within yards of the local Bus Station and Taxi Rank, with only a 5 minute walk to the Train Station. 

Course Times:

This course is a full day course starting at 9.00 and finishing by around 15.00.

What you need to bring / equipment:  

Everyone in the class will be provided with a full set of equipment to use on the day and materials, so you will not need to bring anything with you except a packed lunch, a container to take home your wet iced biscuits/cookies and an apron. We will also provide free drinks for refreshment.

We really enjoyed ourselves on this course today. Lynda showed us lots of techniques and some beautiful ways to finish off our cookies. Tasted delicious too.
