SUGAR FLOWERS MADE EASY
Back by popular demand our full day of Sugar flower making. We will be making a Cattleya Orchid, Sweet peas, Carnations, Arum lilies and a tiger lily. This class is all about making sugar flowers and we will not have time to wire them into a spray. You will be shown how to use professional Beau petal paste. The process of colouring paste, cutting, boning, frilling and dusting, steaming, glazing and painting will all be discussed and covered. At the end of the day you will have samples of each flower. This course will give you a good understanding of the basic skills required to produce Sugar Flowers and will benefit any student considering enrolling on our Bridal Spray (5 week), Summer class, Wedding Cake classes or one of our Professional Courses ( PME Diploma in Sugar flowers and CAS certificate module 2). What you need to bring / equipment:
All you need to bring is an apron and a box to take home your finished piece of work. We now provide all the materials and the use of specialist cutters/equipment throughout this course. Students will also be entitled to purchase cutters used discounted equipment and materials for sale in "The Studio" within our retail section. We will be stopping for a short mid day break so please bring a packed lunch. Liquid refreshments are available free during the class.
